DMBC Board Meeting September 24. 2007

 

The meeting was called to order by President John Sterling at 5:00 P.M.

Our Meeting minutes are now being reviewed and then posted on our website.

The Minutes and Treasurer’s reports were accepted as presented on the website.

 

TREASURER’S REPORT – The Treasurer’s report was posted on the website.

 

DIRECTORS REPORT – The Easy Bridge game on Mondays will still continue at 0 to 20 points.  June has Okayed the Wednesday morning game to go to 149 points.  There will be a two session GNT on October 27, 2007.  Our Election of Board Members will be held on November 12, 2007.  The Club Christmas Party will be on December 3, 2007 also as a membership game.

 

COmMITTEE REPORTS

Grounds/House – John stated that we have a new printer for the computer.  It has different cartridges and Chet will try to sell the old ones.  Pat Heading has suggested that the rug be cleaned.  It was decided to have this done during the week of our tournament in November.

Pat also requested that some of our tables and chairs be replaced. Quantities needed and prices will be researched.  Pat said we could also use two new wheeled coolers, a utility table and some serving dishes for our special games.

Annual Election of Board Members – Linda Miller is Chairman with Martha Easter, Betty King and Misuzu McManus serving on the committee.

Three new Board Members will be needed.

Additional nominees must be signed by any two club members in good standing and presented to Linda Miller at least two weeks prior to the election.

 

OLD BUSINESS – Linda Miller will be starting Friday morning classes.  Spike Lay will be starting advanced intermediate classes in October.

 

NEW BUSINESS – Al Land stated that we must apply for the Sales Tax exemption certificate which will be expiring.  It must be renewed every five years.  We may have to request the necessary form.

 

The next meeting will be October 15, 2007.
