DMBC ANNUAL MEETING – November 10, 2008

The meeting was called to order at 4:50 by President John Sterling.

The Minutes of 2007 annual meeting were summarized.

The Financial results for the year were reported by Bruce Ohmann.

Congratulations were given to the winners at the Regional

We plan to gather Xmas gifts for the Holly Hill Headstart program again.  Gifts should be wrapped and labeled as boy or girl gift.  Any cash collected will be given to Donna Moss, who is a Headstart person at the city level, who will take care of purchasing gifts which will go to the Holly Hill program.

Thank you’s were expressed for the efforts of the many members who contributed to the success of our club during the year.  In particular:

1. Board Members, particularly departing from the board

Bob Renuart, Communications & Email

2. June Byrne, our Head Director

3. All the Directors

4. Max Bayard who ran our two very successful Sectional Tournaments

5. Judy McCall whose team prepared the wonderful food for Sectionals

6. Don Beacher who keeps our building operational

7. Our new Spruce-Up Committee (Betty Bayard, Gail Rust, Carol Lively) who made many improvements to the club

8. Linda Miller and her Election committee

9. Mary Lockwald and Bob Aumiller, our purchasing agents

10. Bill McManus for handling our great Club Web Site

11. Shirley Townley for all she does

12. Matie Ellery for running the Novice game

13. And all the others that I have missed.

Under New Business it was mentioned that a new Club Telephone Directory will be printed early next year

The meeting was adjourned at 5:10
