DMBC Board Meeting

The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as had been presented.
The Treasurer’s report with our current balance of $73,931.10 was accepted and approved.
DIRECTOR’S REPORT - June stated that our Wednesday game is doing fine. She would like to know how many tables we have to have at a game to break even. Pat Heading will not be able to direct any games on Mondays in June. So far, June has been able to fill the Director’s slots and really appreciates how everyone has helped with this situation. We have three people who will be taking the Director’s test. The fees for the Wednesday and Thursday games will remain at $3.00 until further notice. We very much appreciate everything Bill McManus has done with our website. We thank Ellie Stefen upon the closure of her game for the referrals to our club.
OLD BUSINESS – Doris Katz stated that our club will be
listed in the Hometown newspaper and in the News Journal Go-Do section. The street sign on Driftwood is still not up
and
John said that Linda Miller’s Monday morning novice game is at about 6 ½ tables. The bridge tables have been cleaned improving their appearance. We do not have any updates on our Sales Tax Exemption status at this time.
GROUNDS – The water leak from the Ladies’ Room wall has been repaired by Lou’s Plumbing for about a total of $500.00. The ceiling fans in both restrooms still need to be replaced.
NEW BUSINESS – Bob Renuart said that the ACBL will send out Sectional announcements for free one time only. He suggested that we get our information out in August to ACBL but flyers should go out sooner. Frank Fisher said he will work on the flyers in June for the September Tournament. John stated that perhaps we should review last year’s results and decide how many days we want to run the tournament. John will also talk to Pat Heading about accepting the position of Tournament Chairman again
