COMMITTEE REPORTS -   John stated that Best Value will continue to service the A/C units until they are in working order.  There was a bad bearing in the West A/C Unit fan that was replaced just three months ago that caused the latest problem.  We will check on the manufacturer’s warrantee on the fan..  There was a problem with the thermostat that Best Value quoted in their bid on the East A/C Unit.    It was not a programmable type which is what the club must have.  It was also suggested that a guard with a key lock be placed on the thermostat so that it will not be available to unauthorized personnel.  Many Thanks to Don Beecher as he has been along side all the workers through out this whole process.

Betty Bayard of the Spruce- Up Committee reported that all the proposed projects have been completed.    A list of duties has also been prepared for the Cleaning Lady.  OUR THANKS to Betty, Carole Lively and Gail Rust for all their hard work.

Sally Romkey has prepared public service news that will be published about the Novice Game Bridge Class.

OLD BUSINESS – New folding chairs have been purchased by the Spruce-Up committee and the old plastic chairs have been removed from the club to make room in the storage closet.  The silver items in the trophy display cabinet will be cleaned.

NEW BUSINESS – John stated that we have to hope that Hurricane Ike will not hit our area and present a problem for the Tournament next week.  Doris Katz made a motion that on January 1, 2009 the Wednesday game fees be raised to $4.00 due to the increased facility expenses that have been incurred.  The Motion was seconded and passed

Our next Meeting will be Monday, October 20, 2008.
