Results of DMBC Member Survey 2007
Board and Head Director Actions that are in Process
DMBC Members: Thank
you for all that participated in the recent Membership Survey. 85 of you responded with very valuable input
on how the club is doing and what we can do to make it better for you and
friends. The “evaluation” of the directors, lessons, website, and newsletter
were all very positive. Here are some of
the areas the Board and the Head Director (June Byrne) are taking action on
based on your input:
What are your Board and Head Director (June Byrne) doing
about the Survey Results?
- Action
already taken to respond to the members who want to compete against skill
levels closer to theirs (rather than higher level players playing in the
Open games) by expanding the limited game on Tuesday Morning to 0-500 and
Friday Afternoon to 0-1000 mps.
- Pro-Am
Game will be reinstated soon. A Handicapping System sanctioned by the ACBL
is being evaluated.
- A
periodic two-session game with Lunch will be evaluated.
- A
committee will be formed to evaluate a Mentoring Program
- More
parties and member achievement recognition luncheons will be added in
2007. A St Patrick Day party is
being planned.
- Volunteers
who help with preparing and serving food, and caddying will be awarded
free plays
- More
Team Games will be considered. The Board has already approved two Grand
National Team Qualifying Games which have been very popular and FUN!
- Provide
an incentive for new people moving into the area to join the club
with six weeks of free play was approved by the Board. Please let us know if you know of any
recently moved-in persons.
